We, as true Liberty Lovers, for freedom of speech firmly stand.

No dictates on how we may worship, intrusions on faith issues banned,

With freedom for all information confirmed to be valued and true.

Petitions for redress of grievance, and peaceful assemblies not few.

Our guns are held for protection from all that may threaten to harm.

Each State free to form a militia and guard against any alarm.

No soldiers to be lodged among us, encroaching our lives without leave.

No seizure nor search without warrant; till probable cause, we’ve reprieve.

The firm right to face our accusers, and mount adequate self-defense;

To be tried by a jury of equals, on the basis of true common sense.

Secure in our lives and possessions; requiring due process of law.

Our God-ordained rights are protected; His justice is pure, without flaw.

No exorbitant fees to be levied, nor cruel punishments be applied.

Rights not here explicitly stated cannot be assumed as denied.

All powers not here designated, nor prohibited here to the States,

Are reserved to the States and the people. Free under God, no debates!

NEVER SAY: “TOO LATE!”

Some folks in this “Great Generation,” considering freedoms we’ve lost,

Woke up one sad day and considered what the loss of all freedoms might cost!

We gathered together and pondered what steps we could take, now, to save

The much-valued freedoms some squander for free hand-outs from cradle to grave.

When folks say: “Too late,” I say: “No way; while life lasts it’s never ’too late’!”

My ancestors’ blood surges in me, defies fatalism’s cruel fate!

 

As brave ones, we will not surrender our God-given right to be free

To live on the fruits of our labor, take our chances, with no guarantee!

Judging our liberty foremost of the rights our Forefathers foresaw,

We’re banding together in protest of widespread disregard for the Law!

The rights in the first Ten Amendments, without which all else would have failed,

Are the sticking-point now for defenders of the Document that then prevailed.

 

The question that President Lincoln set forth in his famous Address,

Has, once again, come front-and-center, in this time of our Nation’s great stress.

Can this nation, conceived with true freedom as the basis of government’s goal,

That all men are created equal, not meant for another’s control —

A proposal with true dedication, a noble concept never tried

In all the past history of mankind — will continuance now be denied?

 

Will men of true faith and conviction risk all in this Battle for Right?

Will women stand, shoulder-to-shoulder, hold aloft Lady Liberty’s Light?

Will the slothful become energetic, take responsibility

For self-support, seeking employment, if able-bodied they be?

When all who produce, robbed by taxes, have “shared” more than they could afford,

With all stripped to poverty’s level, what will be socialism’s reward?

 

Will we be like those gone before us who rose to the crises they faced,

Refused to give in or surrender, stood for causes on righteousness based?

No matter what odds were against them, resisted with all of their might,

Gave the last measure of their devotion, pressed on in the battle for right.

Let our voices arise in crescendo, till the Congress and President hear,

Return power to the States and the people, restoring our freedoms so dear!

 

The tyranny others now suffer by ignoring such warning signs clear,

Should cause us to Stop! Look! And listen! To recognize crisis is near!

Turn back from the brink of disaster, consider our ways and be wise,

Resist the temptation to squander the brief time we have, and arise

To accomplish the task now before us, believing our Cause to be just.

As we take God’s side in this crisis, in His power we surely can trust!

AMERICA’S MOMENT-OF-TRUTH

Calling All Americans, Especially Hispanics!

Pretending that his appointment of Sonia Sotomayor is a favor to Hispanics, and others who may benefit from empathy (so-called), Barack Obama actually imperils them by advancing the socialist agenda to render our Constitution null and void.

The statement by Chuck Shumer, to the effect that Republicans/conservatives “resist her appointment at their own peril” is a liberal bluff that must be called, with firm resistance by all defenders of our Constitution, civilian and Military, “against all enemies, foreign and domestic”! 

Failure to challenge this overt threat is putting present and future generations of Americans at further risk. Our freedom of speech, Judeo-Christian principles, traditional values, individual-initiative rights, and the United States of America, as we have known her, are in grave peril.

It’s high time, possibly even past time, for the USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides,” to fire a cannon ball across the bow of the liberal’s “Barbary-Pirate ship,” and halt it dead in the water.  The moment of truth is upon us, and we dare not submit, or even waver. The time has come for all who value our Constitution, which is the foundational bulwark of our Republic, to stand up and be counted.

Even green-card holders and illegals should protest Sotomayor’s confirmation, for they, too, would be jeopardized. Our Constitution is what made this country “The last best hope of humanity,” the reason for their determination to come here in the first place. Without its protections, they may eventually be in more danger here than in the lands of their birth.         

Sotomayor’s  reckless rulings and wacky interpretations of the Constitution put her firmly in the camp of its enemies, and therefore ours. We cannot afford to risk the damage that she would be poised to inflict as a Supreme Court Justice.        

This is a Fort-McHenry-type showdown, and we dare not surrender, or even hesitate, in our defense of The Star-Spangled Banner: “Then conquer we must, for our cause, it is just.”  Old Glory represents our nation as founded on the Constitution, that precious document penned and defended by those who not only pledged “their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor,” but fulfilled their pledge to the letter, and gave the ultimate sacrifice.

In his Gettysburg address, Abraham Lincoln referred to “their last full measure of devotion,” when referring to those who paid with their lives, not only to preserve our Republic, but to abolish slavery, as documented in the Constitution’s 13^th Amendment. 

It’s time for present-day “Paul Reveres” to mount our steeds and warn our countrymen that enemy forces in our midst, and in our government, are on the move, not only “by land” and “by sea,” but also by air. They are among us, with rapid transportation and communication unimagined in Colonial days, including biased news reporting and deliberate deceptions in every form of media.  

Our presumptive foreign-born “president” is poised to ride roughshod over the checks and balances established by our Constitution. Having usurped the presidency, he awaits the opportune moment to wrest the remaining reigns of government from both Houses of Congress and the Supreme Court, with the devoted assistance of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and others, and Sonia Sotomayor in her anticipated position of influence. Two down, one to go!

Adolph Hitler’s transition from Chancellor to Dictator was only one small step, and the current scenario  is dangerously similar! How can any thinking person say: “It can’t happen here”?

Few who “held their peace” in those dark days lived to express their regrets, but here is a timely warning for all of us to break ranks with “the silent majority,” and let our voices be heard before it’s too late.

Ungrateful Americans

Are we Americans just a bunch of ungrateful spoiled brats? See what David Letterman is said to have written. 

 

No matter what your political convictions are this is an eye opener….What a thankless people we are!!!

‘As most of you know I am not a President Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it seems to hit the mark.’

‘The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?

 

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President. In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain’t happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ‘What are we so unhappy about?’

 

A. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

 

B. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

 

C. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

 

D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

 

E. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state.

 

F. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

 

G. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from around the world is just not good enough either.

 

H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

 

I. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.

 

J. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

 

K. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

 

L. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

 

M. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

 

Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

 

Fact is, we are the largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen. No wonder the world loves the U.S., yet has a great disdain for its citizens.

 They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don’t have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

 

I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out? The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11?

 

The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession? Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks? The commander in chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

 

Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom.

Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn’t take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad? Think about it…… are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the ‘Media’ told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day.

There is currently no draft in this country. They didn’t have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ”general” discharge, an ‘other than honorable” discharge or, worst case scenario, a ”dishonorable’ discharge after a few days in the brig.

 

So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

Say what you want, but I blame it on the media. If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner?

 

The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations. They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by ‘justifying’ them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn’t kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way…… Insane!!

 

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage. Then start being grateful for all we have as a country. There is exponentially more good than bad. We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.’

 

‘With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, ‘Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?’

Shakey ground – feet of clay

It appears Obama is standing on very shakey ground about now, as the media, America and the world watch increasingly more of his underhanded and illegal tactics being revealed. And, don’t forget his close relationship he boasted of with Rev. Wright and Farrakhan and others. Then he suddenly turns on people whom he claimed to have a close relationship with and claims that it wasn’t so.

People don’t like what they see! There are probably hundreds of audio and video recordings, floating to the surface, of Obama on radio and TV shows – from back in 2001 – bragging about how he will conive some way to achieve “redistribution of wealth”, making cutting racist remarks about “all whites”, describing is “work” with ACORN, and his “bold decisions” on numerous topics. Now he is back peddling and claiming he never said those things.

Numerous other illicit activity are being exposed, many documented in recorded audio and video. And, what about all that foreign money pouring into his campaign? Does he really think he can continue to get by with the mounting stacks of evidence agains him?

Obama is becomeing something of a Bill Clinton. So slick and teflon coated that everything slips right off. Like Clinton, Obama can be shown a videotape of him saying something and he turns right around and says he didn’t say it, or didn’t do it. Kind of reminds you of a three year old, doesn’t it?

Meet Governor Sarah Palin

Wake up, America! In this time of crisis the God of our Fathers offers to us “a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJ).

 

Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, has been nominated as the Republican Party’s Candidate for the Vice-Presidency of the United States of America, to serve under their Candidate for the Presidency, Senator John S. McCain. His selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate is, in my opinion, an act of God. In my excitement with this “good news,” I was awakened early one morning with a clear vision of a passage from the Book of Ezekiel. In 593 BC this prophet of God said to ancient Israel:
